The international symposium “Bioeconomy Hub Japan 2025” was held in Umeda, Osaka with the aim of “Strengthening international collaboration to realize a bioeconomy society.” The theme of the symposium was “How can bioinnovation realize planetary health?” and leading experts from Japan and overseas were invited to discuss planetary health from three perspectives: “environment,” “sustainable food systems,” and “global health.”
