Biocommunity Kansai and MAGIA sign Memorandum of Understanding to promote internationalization of MedTech.
Monday February 27, 2023 – Osaka, Japan – Biocommunity Kansai (BiocK) and MAGIA, MedTech Alliance for Global InternationAlisation – European Strategic Cluster Partnership on MedTech, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration and promote the internationalization of MedTech. The MoU follows a successful visit to Japan by the MAGIA delegation in October 2022.
As part of the agreement, BiocK and MAGIA will work together to identify opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange in the Healthcare field. The organizations will explore ways to connect their respective ecosystems and foster joint projects and initiatives. The MoU also includes plans to organize joint events, workshops, and training programs to share best practices, promote innovation and support the growth of startups.
BiocK, located in Osaka, is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the growth of the life science and biotech industry in Kansai region. The organization supports startups and SMEs in the field by providing business support, networking opportunities, and other resources. MAGIA is a European Strategic Cluster Partnership that brings together several leading MedTech clusters in Europe to facilitate collaboration, innovation, and internationalization of the industry.
“Following the visit of the MAGIA delegation to Japan in November 2022, we have been exploring ways to work together to advance our mutual interests and objectives. This MoU marks an important milestone in our partnership and lays the foundation for future collaboration.” said Ms. Takuko Sawada, Chairperson of BiocK.
“This MoU is an important step in our mission to create a global network of partners in Japan and promote exchanges between Europe and Japan in the field of Medical Technologies. We look forward to working with BiocK to promote innovation and growth in the MedTech field.” said Simon Gudin head of international affairs at Lyonbiopole.
The signing of this MoU is expected to strengthen the relationship between BiocK and MAGIA and create new opportunities for collaboration and growth in the MedTech industry.
